Installation Technician
About the Role#
Every OZ VI Venue starts with an installation. Someone has to mount the OZ PanoNode enclosures in the right positions, run power and network cabling, configure the on-venue compute infrastructure, and commission the system until every camera, every inference model, and every data output is operating within published SLOs.
This is an Ops-as-Code field role. OZ commissioning procedures are codified: checklist-driven, CLI-verified, and increasingly automated through the deployment flywheel. Each installation you complete feeds calibration data and commissioning patterns back into the system, making the next venue faster. You follow executable deployment playbooks, run diagnostic CLIs, and verify SLO compliance with structured tooling, not guesswork.
As an Installation Technician, you will travel to stadiums and arenas to deploy OZ Physical-AI infrastructure. You will work with venue facilities teams, coordinate with remote engineering support, and be the person who turns a venue design created in OZ Designer into a live, operating OZ VI Venue.
This is hands-on work. You will be on rooftops, in technical rooms, and on stadium gantries. You will crimp cables, configure switches, mount enclosures, and run commissioning sequences. When you leave the venue, the system is live and producing.
What You Will Do#
- Install OZ PanoNode enclosures at venues, including mounting, alignment, and weatherproofing according to deployment specifications
- Run structured cabling for power and network connectivity between PanoNode positions and the venue technical room
- Configure on-venue networking infrastructure: switches, VLANs, IP addressing, and bandwidth allocation
- Execute commissioning procedures: camera calibration, inference validation, Playbook testing, and SLO verification
- Document installation details: as-built drawings, configuration records, and handoff materials for venue operators
- Coordinate with venue facilities teams on access, scheduling, and safety requirements
- Provide field feedback to engineering by reporting hardware issues, suggesting enclosure improvements, and identifying commissioning bottlenecks
What We Look For#
- 3+ years of experience in AV installation, IT infrastructure deployment, or structured cabling
- Strong IP networking fundamentals; you can configure switches, troubleshoot connectivity, and understand VLANs and subnetting
- Experience with physical infrastructure installation, including mounting hardware, running cable, and working at height
- Ability to read technical drawings and translate deployment designs into physical installations
- Linux command-line proficiency; you will use CLI tooling for diagnostics, commissioning verification, and SLO checks
- Willingness to travel extensively; installations happen at venue sites, not in an office
- Methodical approach to documentation and handoff
Nice to Have#
- Experience with stadium or arena AV installations
- Familiarity with PTZ camera systems and broadcast cabling standards (SDI, fiber)
- Electrical certifications or experience with power distribution systems
- Experience with NVIDIA hardware or GPU-equipped edge compute devices
- Ability to work independently in the field with remote engineering support
What We Offer#
- Early-stage equity (ESOP), because you build the company and you own part of it
- Travel and per-diem for all field deployments
- Hardware and tool budget for your installation kit
- Annual learning budget for certifications and training
- You will be the person who brings OZ VI Venues to life. Every installation is visible, tangible, and permanent
- A growing, high-impact team where your contributions are visible and your scope expands with the company
