Project Manager

About the Role#

OZ ships Physical-AI infrastructure: real hardware installed at real venues with real deadlines. Every deployment involves coordinating enclosure manufacturing, electronics assembly, software releases, field installation, and commissioning across teams in Reykjavík and Nagpur, operating in time zones nine hours apart.

As a Project Manager, you will be the person who makes sure all of this comes together. You will own delivery timelines for venue deployments, coordinate between engineering, operations, and sales, and make sure that when an installation crew arrives at a stadium, everything they need is ready.

This is an AI-First, Management-as-Code role. At OZ, we practice Ops-as-Code and Management-as-Code. Operational workflows are defined as executable specifications, not slide decks. Deployment playbooks, commissioning checklists, and escalation policies are version-controlled, auditable, and agent-executable. You will use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor) as force multipliers, with one person delivering what legacy organizations need entire PMO departments for.

This is not a role where you update Gantt charts and send status emails. You will be deeply embedded in the technical work, understanding hardware lead times, software release gates, and field logistics well enough to anticipate problems before they become blockers. You will encode that knowledge into systems that scale.

What You Will Do#

  • Own end-to-end delivery timelines for venue deployments, from hardware manufacturing through commissioning and handoff
  • Define and maintain deployment playbooks as code: version-controlled, reproducible, agent-executable
  • Coordinate daily across the Reykjavík and Nagpur teams, managing dependencies between hardware, software, and field operations
  • Build Management-as-Code workflows: escalation policies, risk matrices, and decision trees as structured data that agents can reason over
  • Identify and escalate risks early (hardware delays, scope changes, dependency conflicts) and drive resolution
  • Manage stakeholder communication: venue partners, internal leadership, and field teams all need different levels of detail at different cadences
  • Use AI tools daily to automate reporting, track dependencies, and generate commissioning documentation
  • Build and improve delivery processes as OZ scales across venues, leveraging the deployment flywheel so each venue is faster than the last

What We Look For#

  • 3+ years of project management experience in hardware-software product delivery
  • Experience coordinating distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Comfort with AI-First workflows; you see AI coding agents as tools, not threats, and actively use them to multiply your output
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies applied to real-world constraints (hardware has lead times that do not fit in sprints)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you can translate between engineering detail and business context
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and make tradeoff decisions with incomplete information
  • Comfort with technical systems; you don't need to write production code, but you should be able to define workflows as structured data and work alongside engineering tooling

Nice to Have#

  • Experience with Ops-as-Code or Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies (Terraform, Ansible, or similar; the mindset matters more than the specific tools)
  • Experience in physical infrastructure deployment (construction, telecom, AV installation, or similar)
  • Background in sports or entertainment venue operations
  • Familiarity with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) for workflow automation
  • Experience with hardware supply chain coordination (BOM management, vendor lead times, logistics)
  • Familiarity with Iceland's business environment

What We Offer#

  • Early-stage equity (ESOP), because you build the company and you own part of it
  • Annual learning budget for courses, certifications, and conferences
  • Direct impact on every venue deployment. You are the person who makes it happen
  • Visibility across the entire company; you will work with every team and every function
  • A growing, high-impact team where your contributions are visible and your scope expands with the company
